The cultural enrichment program is an educational program designed for graduate students in the Master’s or Doctoral programs who will work outside of academia after they graduate. In this program, students do not only gain a more profound understanding of their own specialty field in their graduate studies. Rather, students will also be able to learn about the various other fields that comprise the human social sciences. Moreover, students will be able to learn by blending fields in the humanities with fields in the natural sciences. As a result, students can master several crucial skills in this program. Specifically, students can learn how to identify and solve problems, how to broaden their own point of view, how to put together a composite thought-process and accurately describe their ideas to other persons, and how to take action. By learning these abilities, students are able to further utilize the knowledge they obtained in their specialty field and help improve society.
Those who wish to enroll in the cultural enrichment program can expect an education that will not only give them a comprehensive understanding of the various fields that make up the human and social sciences, but also teach them generic skills that will prove useful in society. This will help students grow into talented individuals capable of instantly contributing to society and utilize their high-level, specialized knowledge. Even students in the Doctoral program can expect this program to help open new doors for their career in the future. Students who complete this program will receive a diploma.
Students who wish to enroll must register after successfully entering the Graduate School of Humanities and Human Sciences. As a general rule, all students who wish to enroll will be able to do so.
