Profile

TERADA Chisato Assistant Professor
Research Subject

We study how to manage and conserve wildlife—especially sika deer—by looking at both their genetic structure and the social background of the people who live alongside them. We’re also developing hands-on environmental education programs that help people think more deeply about biodiversity and find new ways to use natural resources like deer sustainably. Through these programs, we explore how learning and experience can lead to positive changes in people’s awareness and actions.
