SEKIYA Yuichi Associate Professor
Research Subject

I am investigating the origins of the expressive style of travel poems (kiryōka) in the Man’yōshū, while re-examining the presupposed frameworks of conventional theories on travel poems. Currently, I am expanding my research to include texts such as the Fudoki, and considering how central culture viewed remote areas.
