Dr. La Fay and Hungarian Foreign Students Sit Down with the Counsellor of the Embassy of Hungary during a Courtesy Visit

On February 8th, Cousellor Juhász Györgyi (front row, second from the left) of the Embassy of Hungary paid a courtesy visit to Hokkaido University. After visiting the Graduate School of Science and the Research Center for Integrated Quantum Electronics, Dr. Juhász visited the Office of International Affairs. Dr. Michelle La Fay (far right), head of the International Affairs Unit in the Graduate School of Letters and three students from Hungary met with Dr. Juhász.

Cousellor Juhász explained about a new scholarship for Japanese students and Ms. Haraguchi from the Office of International Affairs explained about HUCI as well as sharing information about our respective foreign student programs and exchanging pamphlets.

After that, Dr. La Fay gave a brief explanation of the Graduate School of Letters and our exchange programs and introduced the Hungarian students, Mayer Ingrid (Graduate School of Letters Doctoral Course, far right), Molnár Levente (Graduate School of Letters Research Student, second from the left), and Oroszlány Balázs (Graduate School of Veterinary Medicine Doctoral Course, far left). The three students talked with Dr. Juhász about their research and life in Japan.
